Caledonia Golf and Fish Club is one of the premier courses on the Grand Strand. A great layout paired with a pristine course creates a memory for life…
Caledonia Golf and Fish Club is located in Pawleys Island, SC. It is just minutes from Myrtle Beach. Pawleys Island is known for its untouched natural beauty. Caledonia Golf Club fits in perfect with the Pawleys Island atmosphere. It is one of the most picturesque golf courses you will play. Its beauty is rivaled by its challenge. Golfers will leave wanting more. Caledonia offers its players a championship style golf course with gorgeous scenery.
Caledonia Golf Club was opened in 1994 on an old rice plantation. When entering Caledonia, players will feel as they have stepped back in time. The entrance is engulfed in
ancient Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. The clubhouse is a plantation style house.
It offers players a great waterfront and marsh view. Be sure to grab a bite before or after your round. While eating, enjoy the serene view from the porch. The property itself is exquisite at Caledonia. The golf course, though, is where the entertainment begins.
The golf course is nestled in a maritime forest and offers a tough layout. Caledonia Golf Club offers players pristine Champion Bermuda greens to putt on. It is often featured on “best of Myrtle Beach” lists. The golf course is a par 70 with 3 par fives. It plays just over 6,500 yards. The 9th hole at Caledonia is one of the shortest on the Grand Strand. It plays 120 yards off the very back tees. Sounds easy, right? Don’t let the yardage fool you though. The green is narrow and guarded by bunkers. This makes the hole harder than it looks on paper.
The 18th hole is a par 4 and forces you to hit your approach shot over a large carry towards the clubhouse. Making the shot a little more challenging are the other golfers sitting on the rocking chairs overlooking the green. The green has some undulation making the approach vital to have an easy putt. The golf course is always well maintained from the thousands of flowers to the smooth rolling greens. Make sure to check out Caledonia Golf and Fish Club on your next trip to the Grand Strand.
