Farmstead Golf Links is located in Calabash, NC. It is on the north end of the Grand Strand. Farmstead may be in North Carolina but it is only minutes from Myrtle Beach. In fact, the golf course stretches over the North Carolina border and into South Carolina. The course has a beautiful layout. They layout is fun and player friendly. All level of players will be challenged at Farmstead Golf Links. The course is always well maintained and visually stunning.
Farmstead Golf Links is built on 480 acres of natural land. It was built using the natural
contours of the land. It is a Links style golf course. There is plenty of natural grass that will make players want to keep their ball in the fairway. Their fairways are welcoming but are also surrounded by glistening lakes and native grasses. As stated earlier, Farmstead Golf Links starts in North Carolina and plays into South Carolina. They are famous for their finishing hole. The 18th hole at Farmstead Golf Links is a massive 767-yard par 6.
Players will start the 18th hole in South Carolina and finish in North Carolina. Farmstead has the only Par 6 in the region. The 18th has a wide dogleg fairway and ends with an undulating green. The hole is guarded by water down the left side but players will want to hug the left side to shorten the hole. The other 17 holes at Farmstead Golf Links are equally as beautiful and unique. The use of the natural land makes the course tough but beautiful. Some of the greens have slight undulations. Dogleg fairways keep things interesting off the tee box.
