The Maples Course is still known as one of Dan Maples’ best designs. It is a traditional Southern-style golf course that offers plenty of challenge and beauty. Carolina Pine trees and ancient Oak trees frame the course making it tight and accuracy demanding. The greens are Bent Grass and have undulations, so hitting the right spot of the green will make for an easier putt. The Maples Course has 5 holes that run along the Calabash River. Pair that with elaborate landscaping and it creates one of the more scenic courses in the area. If the tight fairways aren’t enough, Maples has added waste bunkers throughout to Grand Strand Maples Coursemake that tee shot important.

Make sure to arrive at the course early to take advantage of the Maples’ amenities. You will want to warm up on the all grass tee driving range before hitting the first tee. Work on your putting and short game on their putting green just in case you miss some of the greens on the course. The clubhouse has a fully stocked pro shop to service all your needs. Grab a bite to eat before your round or relax with a cold beverage after your round at the restaurant located in the clubhouse. The Maples Course should definitely be on your list of places to play along the Grand Strand.
