Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club is located in the beautiful Sunset Beach, SC. It is centrally located on the Grand Strand and only minutes from Myrtle Beach, SC. Sunset Beach has many activities to offer including great golf, the beach, relaxing, dining, and other attractions. Sandpiper Bay Golf Course is definitely one of the great courses. They have 27 holes located on the grounds with a great practice facility. The golf course and practice facility are always well maintained. All three 9’s out at Sandpiper Bay Golf Course have they’re own character and will test golfers of any level.
The three 9’s out at Sandpiper Bay Golf Course have great layouts. They were built in a Carolina Pine forest so the fairways are lined with trees. There are four sets of tees to accommodate all golfers. Be careful when stepping up on the back tee box though. It offers a tough challenge to even low handicappers. Golfers will traverse doglegs and elevated tee boxes and greens. Accurate drives and approach shots will give you an advantage while playing Sandpiper Bay Golf Course. The two original courses at Sandpiper Bay Golf Course are the Sand Course and the Piper course. The third and newest course is named the Bay course.
The nine holes on the Sand Course are unique.It has three par 3’s. Make sure your iron game is on while playing the Sand Course and it’ll give you plenty of opportunities to score. The Piper course has three par 3’s and three par 5’s amongst the nine holes. There are some “risk/reward” type shots on the Piper Course, but if played right, will give you chances for birdies. The Bay Course has numerous strategically placed water hazards and forced carries. The Bay Course will definitely test the player’s abilities and will have you thinking more about course management than other courses. Sandpiper Bay Golf Course is a beautiful course worth checking out on your trip to the Grand Strand.
