The courses are always well maintained and have great layouts. The courses are designed by some of the best in the business. Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye are the designers.

The Barefoot Love Course is a striking course. It was designed with all skill levels in mind. The course can be challenging but allows opportunities to score. The generous landing areas at the Barefoot Love Course allow players to be more aggressive off the tee. It is perfect for the players who enjoy “gripping and ripping” their drivers. The design of the greens are similar to those of Pinehurst #2. Your approach shots need to be accurate in order to have an easy putt. The Barefoot Love Course is a unique and fun course to play. There are strategically placed bunkers and hazards. Holes 3-7 feature re-created ruins of a plantation house. The ruins can come into play on the 4th and 6th hole. Number 4 is a short par 4 that offers big hitters a chance to drive the green. Hitting over the green can bring the ruins into play though.
Barefoot offers its guests a great practice facility. The driving range is huge. They also have a short game area. The putting green is a great place to get the speed of the greens. There is also a full restaurant and bar located at the driving range. The Barefoot range also has a Golfsmith retail store boosting a Callaway Performance Center. It is the perfect place to try some new clubs or shop for some accessories.
The Barefoot Love Course is a must when in the Myrtle Beach area. Its unique characteristics make it memorable. The course itself is well maintained. It is a very fair course.
