True Blue Golf Course has a beautiful setting on an old rice plantation. The golf course is always in pristine condition and the layout is breathtaking
True Blue Golf Club is situated on the historic True Blue Plantation. This plantation was once an indigo and rice plantation. It is located in Pawleys Island, SC. True Blue is not a far drive from Myrtle Beach, SC. It is truly a masterpiece. It offers its players a challenging, yet fun layout. True Blue Golf Club uses its beautiful setting to create a fun golf course. It is scenic and inviting to all levels of golfers. It was designed by Mike Strantz, the same designer as their sister course, Caledonia Golf and Fish Club.
While designing True Blue Golf Club, Strantz used the natural surroundings to his advantage creating a piece of art. The fairways are wide and welcoming, but players will have to be accurate to traverse the natural vegetation and the waste areas. The greens have undulations so the approach shots are important to set up an easy putt. The waste areas replace thick rough but can be equally as punishing if a player is not careful. The fairways have elevation changes that will challenge the player to hit off different lies.
A unique aspect of True Blue Golf Club is that it has five par 5’s and five par 3’s but still keeps the traditional par 72. There are five different sets of tees, the longest being 7,100 yards. Strantz used the blended the perfect amount of man made obstacles and natural ones to create a stunning golf course. True Blue Golf Club also offers condos on the grounds that players can stay in while playing True Blue or Caledonia. Come play True Blue Golf Club while on the Grand Strand to experience a great round of golf that offers challenge and stimulating visuals.
